In December 2006, the National Philharmonic Orchestra was appointed Hungary’s UNICEF ambassador. Their two concerts have an added attraction besides the popular music, because the narrator in Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals will be none other than former James Bond and “Saint” Sir Roger Moore, himself a UNICEF international ambassador.
