Technical FAQ

Why do video clips sometimes stop or pause?
The most common cause of a pause or stop is Internet traffic congestion. Usually these congestions are temporary. If you experience frequent "buffering", make sure your Internet connection is at least 1Mbps by using speedtest.net bandwidth test.

I am having audio difficulties when viewing video. How can I fix this?

Network congestion is the most common cause of audio and video pauses. Another common reason for playback glitches is limited CPU power. Sometimes laptop computers have rather poor quality audio interfaces causing distortion or noise to the signal.

Receiving no audio signal at all usually indicates that the speakers are muted or turned off. Make sure that your audio is enabled and the both your system volume and ClassicLive player volume is turned up and have the "mute function" disabled. Also check your audio cable connections.

My pop-up blocker won't let me watch video. How can I fix that?

Pop-up blockers may prevent a video player from opening. Setting your pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups from www.classiclive.com will fix this problem. Many pop-up blockers can be modified via a "settings," "options," or "block/allow" button. You might also get a notification at the top of your window saying that pop-up window has been blocked. There is usually an option to allow the pop-up either temporarily or from this source (www.classicLive.com). We suggest you choose to accept pop-ups from this website, to prevent further problems when watching concerts. We will not bother you with advertisement pop-ups.

What are the bandwidth requirements for www.classiclive.com?

Watching classicLive videos require 1Mbps Internet connection. Most of the modern broadband connections (ADSL, Cable etc) comply with this requirement. Check your connection speed by using speedtest.net bandwidth test.

My browser crashes when I try to view a video, what is wrong?

You may have codecs installed in your computer that cause this to happen. You can try another browser and uninstall the codecs to locate the problem.

I found a bug or wrong information on the site, what do I do?

Please contact us and describe the bug in detail.

Which players are compatible with classicLive videos?

ClassicLive uses a Adobe Flash-based player which is compatible with Microsoft Windows, Apple Macintosh and Linux computers.

I cannot see any 'pause' or 'volume' controls for the video when it plays, why?

Your computer is probably using incompatible media player.

Does classicLive work with Mac?

Yes.

When I try to login, the address bar is yellow, why is this?

If you are using Google toolbar, you may have problems logging in on classicLive (and perhaps other websites too). The toolbar turns the log in window yellow and you cannot see the address you are typing. You need to turn off or uninstall the toolbar to get rid of this problem.

How do I turn off my screensaver?

If your computers screensaver goes on while you are watching concerts, you might want to set it turn on after a longer period of time, or turn it off completely. In PC, go to your desktop. Click the right mouse button and choose properties. Then go to screensaver tab and change the time or choose 'none'.

How do I watch concerts at full screen?

Enter to full screen mode by pressing full-screen button in the lower right corner of the video player. Exit full screen by pressing ESC in your keyboard.
