Sennheiser HD 25 headphones go to Fredrik Blom in Stockholm, Sweden

posted 15th October 2007

In August we launched a campaign with video clips including some questions about classical music. We asked you, if you recognized an excerpt that conductor Osmo Vänskä was whistling. The right answer was Sibelius Symphony No. 2. We added a few more clips in September, when the Hungarian National Philharmonic joined classicLive. This time harpist Deborah Sipkay was playing an excerpt and the right answer was Bartok Suite No. 2. We randomly selected the winner with right answers and the Sennheiser HD 25 headphones go to Fredrik from Stockholm! Congratulations to the lucky winner!

We wanted to get to know Fredrik a little better and here are some things he told us about himself:

Q: Who are you?

A: Fredrik Blom, 36 years old

Q: Where are you from?

A: Stockholm, Sweden

Q: What do you do for living?

A: I am an advisor for private investors with a bank in Sweden.

Q:  Your hobbies?

A: Music, literature, wine and food.

Q: Name some of your favorite classics?

A: Beethoven’s String Quartets  played by Lindsay Quartet and Haitink conducting London Symphony Orchestra  in all Beethoven symphonies.

- But I do hold Bach as the very best with a single instrument like his cello and violin pieces. Also Glenn Gould recording of Goldberg Variations!

But I do like many other composers as well. It is like wine, there is one for every occasion.

Q: Where did you hear about classicLive?

A: I don´t really remember but it must have been on some music site on the net.

Q: What would you like to tell to other classicLive friends?

A: I don´t think they want to hear my voice; they come to you for the same reason I do, the music and experience you give.

Congratulations to Fredrik!
